Program Overview
Too Good For Drugs is an evidence-based prevention curriculum helping students in grades 5–9 make responsible, healthy choices. Through engaging lessons, the program builds resilience, strengthens decision-making skills, and empowers youth to lead drug‑free, successful lives.
About the Program
Too Good For Drugs helps young people build the foundation for lifelong success by teaching essential life and social-emotional skills. Designed for grades 5 through 9, the program uses evidence‑based methods to strengthen protective factors, reduce risk behaviors, and support positive youth development.
In 2025, the program reached more than 4,500 students across Vigo, Vermillion, and Sullivan counties, helping cultivate healthier school environments and stronger communities.
Through interactive lessons and age‑appropriate activities, students learn to:
Resist peer pressure and make confident, independent decisions.
Set and achieve goals for health and personal development.
Manage emotions and communicate effectively.
Build healthy relationships while respecting themselves and others.
Engage in positive, nonviolent, and substance‑free behaviors.
These lessons foster resilience, emotional intelligence, and leadership—key ingredients for helping youth grow into responsible and compassionate adults. By equipping students to make safe and smart choices, Too Good For Drugs supports CASY’s broader mission of empowering youth and strengthening families across the Wabash Valley.
