Evening counseling appointments are available based on provider schedules.

Insurance benefits will be verified prior to your first appointment to help you understand your coverage and any potential out-of-pocket costs. Good Faith Estimates are also available upon request

CASY Counseling provides compassionate, confidential, and inclusive mental health services that support the emotional, mental, and academic well-being of individuals and families in our community. Our licensed professionals offer tailored counseling and life skills services in a welcoming, judgment-free environment—helping clients grow, heal, and thrive.

Who we are – Meet Our Team

Janell C. Chatman, MSW, LSW – Licensed Social Worker & Mental Health Professional

Uses an integrative, humanistic therapy approach, with training in grief and loss, trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness practices.

Augustina Aidoo, MSW, LSW – Licensed Social Worker

Helps clients identify root causes of challenges and build effective solutions, working with children, adolescents, and adults using modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT.

Kayla Ferguson, MSW, LSW – Licensed Social Worker & School-Based Therapist

Focuses on supporting children and families, drawing on her background in school social work and a growing specialization in perinatal mental health.

Alyssa Mitchell, MS, LMHCA – Mental Health Counselor Associate

Provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for children, families, and individuals. Focus areas include play therapy, narrative therapy, trauma-focused and faith-based counseling, with a person-centered approach.

Charla Cline – Counseling Administration

Ensures each client’s experience begins with a warm welcome and smooth support behind the scenes, assisting with scheduling, communication, and client care coordination.

Life Skills (Individual & Group)

Supports social, emotional, and daily living skills through evidence-based activities. Adult services may include help with housing, benefits, and resource navigation.

Co-Parenting Counseling

Teaches communication tools, conflict resolution strategies, and parenting approaches that prioritize children’s well-being and reduce conflict between caregivers.

Supervised Parenting Time

Provides a safe, monitored environment where parents and children can reconnect under professional supervision—designed to ensure child safety and support positive family interactions.

Abuse Intervention Program (AIP)

Certified by the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, CASY Counseling operates the only AIP in Vigo, Parke, Vermillion, Sullivan, and Clay counties. The program promotes accountability, education, and non-violent behavior change.

Individual and Family Therapy

Offers therapeutic support in both school-based and office settings, helping clients explore emotions, develop coping strategies, and strengthen family relationships.

What insurance do you accept?

CASY Counseling accepts a variety of insurance plans, which are verified before scheduling the first appointment. Good Faith Estimates are available upon request.

 

How long are sessions, and how often will I attend?

Therapy sessions typically range from 30–45 minutes. Frequency depends on client needs and provider availability. Life skills sessions are tailored to age, goals, and specific support needs.
