Partnering Schools

Matches are made at the start of each school year through participating schools, connecting high school mentors with elementary mentees for the full academic year.

Mentor applications and school sign-ups open each August and September, with the program running through April or early May. Contact Siara Mitchell to participate in the CASY Mentoring Program.

Group Mentoring

 Group mentoring sessions are held throughout the academic year at participating local schools, creating consistent opportunities for students to connect, learn, and grow together. Each session focuses on building positive relationships, encouraging teamwork, and developing leadership and social-emotional skills in a supportive environment.

We recruit mentors and mentees in August and September. Watch this space for announcements on special mentoring events, celebration days, or recognition ceremonies.

At CASY, every child deserves a network of encouragement and belonging. The CASY Mentoring Program connects high school mentors with elementary mentees to build relationships rooted in empathy, leadership, and resilience.

What the program does 

CASY Mentoring uses structured, site-based group mentoring to create consistent opportunities for connection, guidance, and encouragement.

• Mentees: Elementary students eager to learn and grow.
• Mentors: High school students ready to lead and inspire.

Matches are coordinated at the start of each school year through participating schools, supporting relationships that last throughout the academic year.

Group sessions held in local schools focus on kindness, teamwork, and giving back to the community.

Why it matters
