Drug Free Vigo County is a community based coalition dedicated to educating the community about alcohol and other drug problems, assessing local needs, and initiating, coordinating and implementing comprehensive local plans. Drug Free Vigo County was recently awarded a federal Drug Free Communities grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy. The grant allowed the coalition to focus on reducing underage drinking and substance abuse. The coalition was established in 1989, as The Local Coordinating Council. In 2018, Drug Free Vigo County unveiled not only a new name but also a new logo in an effort to better align themselves with the mission. Click here for more information.
