Families in the 20 On My Way Pre-K counties (full list here) can apply for a 2019-2020 pre-K grant by visiting www.OnMyWayPreK.org. These new grants will begin August 2019, and seats will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES:

  • Families must have an income below 127 percent of the federal poverty level.
  • The child must be 4 years old by August 1, 2019, and starting kindergarten in the 2019/2020 school year.
  • Parents/guardians in the household must be working, going to school or attending job training.

HOW TO APPLY: Links to electronic applications, in both English and Spanish, as well as a printable paper applications, are available at www.OnMyWayPreK.org. Families can search approved providers at www.ChildCareFinder.IN.gov or call 1-800-299-1627 for assistance from an early learning referral specialist.

EXPANDING ACCESS: Don’t miss this opportunity to expand access to high-quality pre-K – either in your family or in your community. On My Way Pre-K’s grants for high-quality early education will give thousands of Hoosier children a great start for school and life. Apply today or spread the word to families in your community!

Once a child has received a grant, parents may choose from any of the approved On My Way Pre-K programs. Indiana’s Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning is currently enrolling high-quality programs which are either top-ranked at level 3 or level 4 on Paths to QUALITY™ or are accredited by an approved national or regional accrediting body.
