What is it?

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Wabash Valley’s largest and most important annual fundraiser. All you have to do is gather your team, fundraise and party to help create more life-changing friendships in the Wabash Valley! Donations made to Bowl For Kids’ Sake defend the potential of hundreds of youth!

Big impact

When you Bowl For Kids’ Sake, you are creating brighter futures for youth right here in the Wabash Valley. One hundred percent of the funds your team raises are used to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission of one-to-one mentoring.

What’s New in 2020

Your Town. Your Money.  Our goal is to provide a fun evening and fundraise as much as possible to support our Bigs and Littles! This year, we decided to adopt a more cost-effective strategy and host both Vigo Counties’ and Clay Counties’ Bowl for Kids’ Sake parties at the Terre Haute Bowling Center but provide two dates; Friday, February 21st and Friday, February 28th.  We want our communities to know that every dollar raised in your community will provide programming for Bigs and Littles in your area.

How to get started!

Start a team. Download the Bowl for Kids’ Sake registration form, pick a team captain and register your team of up to 6 friends, family members, co-workers or ask your company to sponsor your team. Have your team captain either email, mail, fax or drop-off your team form to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Wabash Valley office located inside the Chances And Services for Youth building located at 1101 South 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47802. All teams must pay with cash or check before the date of the event in order to bowl.
Start securing donations. Each team has to raise a minimum of $150 as its bowling fee. Of course, we encourage you to fundraise more. Every dollar you raise will support our mission of changing lives through one-to-one mentoring. All contributions will be used to match volunteer mentors with local youth who need them. Once matched with the perfect Big Brother, Sister, Family or Couple, Little Brothers and Sisters will develop positive relationships that will help create brighter futures for kids in Vigo, Clay and Sullivan Counties.
Start bowling. After you’ve secured your donations, it’s time to have fun! Join us for games of bowling & prizes!
Teams must raise a minimum of $150 in order to bowl.
Sponsorships. Sponsorships help our Bigs and Littles make memories together. Your donations provide opportunities for educational activities, memorable outings, and community service projects.
Prizes. We award the Highest Team Score and Most Team Spirit with one of our fabulous, handcrafted bowling pin trophies! We will also enter any team or individual that fundraises more than $150 into a raffle to win prizes. If a team fundraises $500 or more, we will enter them into another raffle for a chance to win a table to 2020 Dancing with the Terre Haute Stars!
